Lesson Rates and Policies
Lesson prices are simple flat-rates that cover private instruction to ensembles.
All prices include travel expenses, lesson materials and preparation. However, they do not include instruments and maintenance (such as strings or sticks). If possible, recitals can be scheduled in substitution for lesson. However, at this point, recitals must be organized by the student and held at your home or a nearby building.
30 minutes • $40
45 minutes • $55
60 minutes • $70
Prices are per student.
Ensemble Lessons (groups of 3 or more students): host gets one free student. No need to collect payments. Invoices will be sent to each party separately!
*Please Note: "private" lessons are for single students only. While you can have two private lessons in one house (one after another) it is not recommended to "share" private instruction. Students learn at their own pace. When sharing a lesson it should be thought of as performance instruction. For example, playing a peice together that has been prepared by each student beforehand, during their own private lessons and practice sessions.
Online Lesson Rates:
$7.50 per student plus $50 per hour
Lessons are charged and booked in advance for entire upcoming month using online invoicing.
Most major credit and debit cards are accepted and can be accepted online using the online invoicing.
If you prefer to pay by check, please make payable to Baer's Music Service LLC.
If a new student books their first four lessons with your referral then you get one free lesson. (Referrals must be currently taking lessons)

Lessons that are canceled are credited for the following month's payment.
"No-Show Lessons" are not refundable (no cancellation made in advance -- nobody is home when I arrive)
Cancellations due to family emergencies, natural emergencies, and snow-days are of course subject to credit and rescheduleing. Baer's Music Service always follows school holidays and cancellations unless other arrangements have been made.
I do everything I can to ensure that current students are always taken care of (rates that never go up, etc.). Sometimes students have to take a break because of scheduling conflicts. If more than a month, I ask that students pay the returning month ahead of time (non-refundable if they don't return). That way I don't miss out on potential clients that would take that time slot and the student is ensured that they will have their time slot when they return. Of course, the normal crediting policy of one-time cancellations resumes the returning month.
